Should I wave goodbye to another electronic appliance?

Microwaves. Are they good? Are they bad? I'm beginning to evaluate this in my own life. Comments and thoughts are welcome.

When I was in England, I asked my friend Jonathan if the Brits used microwaves. He honestly replied, "No, they're unnatural."

Just what I thought of.

They certainly "feed" my impatience. That surely can't be a good thing. I have grown so accustomed to using mine, however, I doubt that I reform any time soon.

I hear your concerns Carrie. While it is about the only way I can have a hot cup of soup or a warmed up leftover while at work,I have taken heed to not warming foods in plastics and styrafoam as you have taught me!

I remember the time our microwave died, we HAD to buy a new one before the end of that day. WE JUST COULDN'T SURVIVE WITHOUT ONE! Yet we lived for awhile with a stove that only had a few burners that works and did that for sometime!

You have made my life infinitely more complicated with this. It's funny you should post it now while I was in the midst of wondering how my food can come out steaming as though it's piping hot, yet still be stone cold to the touch. Hmmm... am I allowed to have a toaster oven? You're gonna save thousands on electricty without this and the TV! :-)
